Optional Tours

We invite delegates and accompanying persons to sample some of the beautiful countryside and history that Scotland has to offer by participating in our suggested tour programme. Edinburgh is a great city to explore at your leisure and visit the many tourist attractions in the centre, all of which are within 2km of the city.

SCENIC TOUR OF THE TROSSACHS – A TASTE OF SCOTLAND
Tuesday 7th September

Leaving from Edinburgh, we will stop briefly at Stirling Castle, with views to the Wallace Monument, for a photo opportunity. We will then make a stop at the Venachar Lochside Café on the outskirts of Callander, then on to Aberfoyle via the Trossachs, with lunch at Ross Priory on the side of Loch Lomond. The views are spectacular and there are some lovely walks through the gardens. We will return to Edinburgh via Balloch from Ross Priory in time to get changed and rest prior to the Congress Dinner in the evening.

ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA
Wednesday 8th September

We will visit the Royal Yacht Britannia (previously the Queen’s touring residence), which is berthed at Ocean Terminal in Leith, just outside Edinburgh city centre. This will be a two hour tour of the yacht with a chance to visit the tea rooms for refreshments
